Passengers and freight up at Humberside Airport

Humberside Airport enjoyed a 13% increase in passenger numbers last year, according to figured released by the Civil Aviation Authority. 520,956 people used the airport in 2006 compared to 460,930 in the previous year.
The figures also show that they airport enjoyed a 26% jump in freight traffic last year. The airport processed 144 tonnes of freight in 2006 compared to 114 in 2005.
