Humberside enjoys record summer

The poor summer weather resulted in record numbers of passengers at Humberside Airport. Between May and August the airport reported a 30% increase in passengers compared to the same period in 2008, meaning that it experienced its busiest ever summer.
Humberside Airport Travel's business manager Amanda George said the results were particularly good news for the region, which had been suffering in the struggling economy.
