Draft masterplan released

Humberside Airport could see passenger numbers more than quadruple by 2030. The airport has released a draft masterplan for the next 25 years, which would see passengers rise from 0.6m to 2.5m a year.
The airport's draft plan, published on Friday, forecasts figures of 0.9m - 1.4m by 2016 and 1.6m - 2.5m by 2030. This could see its workforce expand from 725 to 1240 by 2031, but there will be no need to extend the existing runway.
The draft plan will be subject to a 3 month public consultation period before a definitive master plan is published by the end of the year. Further details are available on the airport website (click on the link above).
